Sprayer Calibration & SWD Workshop - POSTPONED!
Primary tabs
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL SOMETIME IN JULY!!
Attention all fruit growers in Ohio that raise raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, ever bearing strawberries, GRAPES, or peaches? This on-farm sprayer optimization clinic and Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD) identification workshop is important for you to know. This relatively new pest in Ohio can cause real damage to unprotected small fruit, apples, peaches and GRAPES. To help you better prepare to manage this pest, the Dept. of Food, Agriculture, and Biological Engineering along with the IPM Program have teamed up a two-hour on-farm program using the grower's own equipment to optimize their sprayer coverage for better control of SWD on their farm. This is a learning process that you can take back to your farm and apply the techniques learned to your own spraying equipment. This will save you MONEY and make you a more effective, efficient spray applicator. The workshop is FREE, the expert advice and on hands learning is PRICELESS.
Please call or email Dave Scurlock to register in advance.
